Herbalife International Appoints Melanie Hayden General Manager of Herbalife Canada
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 10, 2005--Herbalife International, Inc. today announced the appointment of Melanie Hayden as general manager of Herbalife Canada with responsibility for all marketing and operating functions in that country. Hayden will report to Rob Levy, senior vice president of the company's Americas region.
For over two decades, Hayden has been involved in multiple aspects of the direct sales industry, spearheading sales, marketing, operations, product development and promotions for several leading companies. Prior to joining Herbalife, she served as president of the Canadian operation of Partylite Gifts, which became, under her direction, one of the top five direct selling companies in Canada.
Previously, Hayden served as vice president of sales and marketing of Colour Me Beautiful, where she led the startup of a new cosmetics division. She also held numerous posts at Watkins, one of the oldest network marketing companies and providers of what is today known as wellness and gourmet products. There, she created the Canadian business, and ultimately served as vice president of international sales and marketing. Her introduction to the direct sales industry came from Mary Kay, where she served as an independent sales director for five years, earning the famous pink car and building a team of 250 independent distributors.
